Our Houston electricians have a unique inventory of discontinued and obsolete electrical components that we can install in older homes. What Parts of Town do You Service?
Our Houston electricians work throughout the metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.  Outlying communities serviced include, but are not limited to, Rosenberg/Richmond, Katy, Waller, The Woodlands, Clear Lake, and Sugar Land.

If the need arises, we are happy to travel to areas such as Galveston, Beaumont, College Station, San Antonio, and Austin.

In addition to new home construction wiring, we have successfully completed hundreds of home remodels and home wiring repair projects in West University, River Oaks, Tanglewood, Upper Kirby, and Rice Village.  Call 713-863-1133 for references in your neighborhood.

Do you belong to any Professional Service Organizations?
ILD is a member of the IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) as well as ASID-IP (American Society of Interior Designers, Industry Partner).

Do you do Residential or Commercial Electrical Work?
Most of our work is residential.  From time to time, some of our clients who own businesses request that we handle the electrical wiring of office foyers, conference rooms, and executive offices.  However, on any given day of the week, you are most likely to see our team of Houston electricians working on home electrical circuit panels, home remodel wiring, new construction wiring, and wiring associated with indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures.

Do you work on older homes?
This is actually one of our specialties.  Because we have been in business since 1980, some of our us actually worked in today’s “older homes” when they were new!  Consequently, our Houston electricians are familiar with a wide range of construction styles that were popular at various times in the city’s history.

Knowing the many construction techniques that have emerged over the years allows our electrical specialists to work in older homes with minimal disruption.

We also have an extensive inventory of obsolete and discontinued electrical components.  If an older home require any of these components, our team is in a unique position to supply them directly without having to place a special order.  We have professionals on staff who have been with us for over 25 years who know how to troubleshoot and install these components.

How do your prices compare with other Houston electricians?
For basic home wiring services, we are competitive with any local residential electrical contractor. A typical crew includes a licensed journeyman as well as a licensed apprentice.  This team concept promotes efficiency and safeguards homeowner and contractor safety.

For specialty services, our prices are complementary to our design work so that you can turn to us as a single source turnkey solution provider.

What types of specialty electrical work do offer?
We install all the necessary circuits, wiring, and control systems for landscape lights, art lights, and lighting control systems.

We also protect your home with whole house surge suppression systems that prevent power surges from damaging your circuit panel, appliances, and entertainment systems.  We can also protect the operability of your home systems with natural gas emergency electrical generators that will keep your home up and running in the event of a power failure due in your neighborhood.

Are you licensed to work in the city of Houston or all of Texas?
We are licensed for both, and all of our journeyman electricians and apprentices are required to be licensed.

Do you do any home electrical repair work?
Yes. In fact, we do a great deal of repair work because our maintenance programs require our Houston electricians to maintain not only the lighting systems we install, but he wiring and the control systems that operate these fixtures.  We do a great deal of new construction work too, and have seen an increase in the past decade in home remodeling projects in the more prominent Houston neighborhoods.
